Mt. Dew's new addiction

Right when I thought I’d rid myself of the grip of Mountain Dew I discover Mountain Dew Amp. It’s a new high energy drink released by Mt. Dew that contains about twice the caffeine as regular Mt. Dew. Read on for more info on this new drink.

It appears that the stylish can with a “stylized A” on the front contains more than just caffeine. It also contains Ginseng, Guarana, Taurine, and various B Complex Vitamins. One of these vitamins glows in the dark as well. Overall I give it a 4 in taste, 5 in kick, and 5 in packaging out of a scale of 5. However, I give it a 2 in price (1.99 for an 8oz can). It should be in your local stores now.

The human hour glass

Most computers have some sort of indicator to show when it’s “thinking”. On Macs I believe it’s a watch, on windows it’s the everpopular and everpresent hour glass. But what about humans? Do we have the equivilent? I say we do.

What would you say is the human indicator? I say it’s the word
“um” – there’s no other explanation for what the heck to word is used for. In fact if you look at the definition and you will see that it means “to fill a pause when hesitating in speaking.”

Stock tip

I’ve been dumping a lot of money into my stock accounts. Mainly because the market is really depressed right now. If you watch CNBC you’ll hear nothing but analysts talking about which stocks are “on sale.” One I like (and the analysts back me up here) is Disney. It’s down 50% on the year at 20’ish a share with a 5 year average of 40’ish a share. They own ABC, ESPN, etc. and look really good. Another stock that looks good is AOL.

Don't be a fool!

I’ve recently been thinking about pouring more money into the market. Why? Mainly because the market is depressed and when it’s depressed you should buy (as history will tell you). I’ve found the best place to get info about investing for morons (like me) is Fool.com. If you are interested in either trading your self or learning what the hell you are paying your stock guy for – this is where to start.

Drivers Ed.

Today I was walking down the street when I came to a “Don’t Walk” sign with a car stopped at the green light. I looked at the green light then at the driver who seemed not to care about the green light. I shrugged my shoulders and walked across the stree. The passenger then asked me where “Traffic Court” was and I pointed to the country court building on the opposite corner. He said thanks and then the driver proceeded to turn left through the now red light. The irony here is just too much …

Damn Telemarketers

Now I know why my phone number was in the available pool – whomever had it first gave it up because so many telemarketers call it. On average I get about 5 calls a day from telemarketers. Doesn’t this seem a bit high to anyone? About time to get this . Any word on if this thing works?
