We should totally kill this guy

Venezuela has offered fuel, food and water to the hurricane-hit US. What I find most interesting about this article isn’t the fact that Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez offered such services to, but the nuggets buried farther down.

Last week, Chavez offered discount gasoline to poor Americans suffering from high oil prices and on Sunday offered free eye surgery for Americans without access to health care.

Why the heck would we want to assassinate a guy who offers poor Americans discounted gas and free eye surgery? Meanwhile, we give truckloads of money to the Iraqis just so they can turn around and buy rocket launchers to blow us up with. Yeah, that makes sense.

  1. I hate to say it but this I agree with, Jizo. Drew and Mike (local Detroit radio) hit the nail on the head this morning: I’m glad all the countries we sent money to for the tsunami are lining up to send us aid for Katrina. We should spend our money more at home rather than waste it on other countries. Survival of the fittest.

  2. This Venezuelan President is disliked by the Bush family because he’s a leftist and he wants to help the poor (> 60% of his people are in poverty) instead of the wealthy. Our (US) Venezuelan intrusions seem to go back as far as when they first became a Democracy. You have to ask yourself, don’t we (US) promote Democracy? That doesn’t seem aparent in 1958 when we supplied a militia to overthrow (successfully did so) the first democractic presidency of Venezuela. Our constant demands on Venezuela has strained relations and the fact that they are trying to be independant and rebuild their country seems to be a *bad* thing in washington’s eyes.. Odd! This Pat Roberson guy is a tool and should be ashamed of himself. Anything you seen deemed as aggressive from Venezuala, look farther into the story and you’ll see it’s just retaliation from the US’s actions. Bush is a sad sad president.

It’s to bad that the sheer fact that any country that is not in our *right* pocket that happens to be the 4th largest oil producer is evil in our eyes… Funny how that works.

  3. Can someone give me your boy Chavez’s number so I can get my free shit? Or maybe he is just pretending to care to get support like this… hmm…

All I know is our government has 10.5B on the table for *20* days. Chavez can get his friends at OPEC to play ball and save his eye surgery.
